Email delivery via SMTP settings and optional SendGrid API configuration.
Last updated 31 August 2026
Overview
The public site lists SendGrid as an email integration. In the application, company email typically uses the SMTP Email block under System Settings → Communications. Additional API integrations (including SendGrid as a service name example) can be added under System Settings → API Configuration.

Prerequisites
SMTP credentials from your mail provider (SendGrid SMTP or other)
Administrator access to System Settings
For API Configuration entries: SendGrid API key if your deployment uses that path
Supported Functionality
SMTP Email — host, port, credentials, from address (Communications tab)
Generic API Configuration rows with ServiceName (SendGrid listed as example in empty state)
Transactional email e.g. password reset via platform mail service
Automation Send Email action when mail is configured
Setup
Open System Settings → Communications.
Configure SMTP Email with your provider host, port, username, password, and from address.
Save SMTP settings and confirm Active/Configured badge.
Optional: add a SendGrid row under API Configuration if your administrator uses that integration path (ServiceName SendGrid, category Email).
Configuration
Do not store API keys in shared documents — use API Configuration modals only.
Automation rules with Send Email require working SMTP or configured mail service.
Email templates for campaigns may reference HTML when channel is Email.
Connection Verification
Trigger password reset or a test campaign email.
Confirm delivery or check application logs/activity if bounces occur.
SMTP card shows Configured when credentials saved.
Usage
Transactional and campaign email when SMTP active.
Automation Send Email actions.
Account emails (registration, reset) via platform email service where applicable.
Troubleshooting
Email not received — check spam, SMTP credentials, and from-address domain authentication with your provider.
SendGrid vs SMTP — this deployment exposes SMTP directly; SendGrid is used via SMTP relay or API Configuration depending on administrator setup.
Specific SendGrid subuser or domain authentication steps are provider documentation — not duplicated here without in-app fields.
FAQ
Is SendGrid mandatory?
No. Any SMTP-compatible provider can be entered in the SMTP Email block.
Where are API keys stored?
In System Settings API Configuration records, company-scoped — not in this documentation portal.
